following the completion of his term on 15 July 2009.
The new Vice President of MIA is Christina
Constance Foo who was also elected on 24 July 2009.
Both Abdul Rahim and Foo have been actively
involved in leadership positions within the profession.
Abdul Rahim is no stranger to the organisation as
he was MIA’s president for two years from 2005 to 2007. Initially elected into
Council in 2000, he also served as the Vice President of MIA from 2004 to 2005.
He has more than three decades of service in public practice and was the Deputy

Malaysia a voice at the global level in the accounting fraternity.
Their leadership also comes about at the time as
Malaysia will be thrust in the global limelight as MIA will be hosting the 18th
World Congress of Accountants to be held in Kuala Lumpur from 8-11 November
2010. The highly respected global forum which is targeted to attract over 6000
professionals and business leaders aims to share in the latest information,
innovative ideas and to exchange views on a platform of international and
regional interest.
