Press Release - ASEAN Federation of Accountants Publishes its 2008 Annual Report

April 1, 2009 - The ASEAN Federation of Accountants (AFA) is proud to launch its’ 2008 Annual Report today. As the umbrella organisation for all the accountancy bodies in the ASEAN region, AFA is releasing this Annual Report as part of its efforts to increase its organisational transparency as well as to keep its stakeholders and the public, informed on its’ activities and achievements throughout 2008.

In his foreword to the 2008 Annual Report AFA President Pengiran Haji Moksin said that in 2008, the ASEAN Federation of Accountants (AFA) undertook the effort to become a more dynamic organisation as well as to make itself more relevant to the needs of its members. All initiatives carried out by AFA were in accordance with the Strategic and Operational Plans document which was developed in 2006 and is intended to provide AFA members a comprehensive and clear picture of the objectives and programmes that the then AFA President and its executives aim to deliver.

The Annual Report which will be available to the public on the AFA website, www.aseanaccountants.org. Copies of the Annual Report will also be distributed to all of the AFA stakeholders as well as its interested stakeholders.
