Public Accountants Conference 2010 (Singapore)

On 15 July 2010, Singapore's Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA) had held their annual Public Accountants Conference (PAC) at the Raffles City Convention Centre. The Conference which was themed, "Accountancy in an increasingly globalised world", brought focus to the vast economic opportunities that come about with the dynamic growth of the Asia-Pacific region and how the local accountancy profession can tap into these opportunities.

Through practical seminars and discussion forums, the conference provided a platform for participants to hear from regulators and leaders in accounting and corporate governance on various key issues impacting the accountancy sector and professionals, as well as issues arising from ACRA's auditor oversight to ensure that Singapore's audits achieve the expected high level of quality.

Guest of Honour, Mr Peter Ong, Permanent Secretary (Ministry of Finance) & ACRA Chairman, delivered the Keynote Address while the rest of conference featured a panel of speakers from around the globe.
